Grand Master Church has been teaching and mentoring the youth of Klamath County, Oregon for over twenty five years with the mission of “Building self image through the pursuit of excellence.” His proven success, with all types of youth, has gained him the support of local parents, principals, teachers, law enforcement departments, counsellors, therapists, physicians, coaches and judges. These community leaders have all witnessed the benefits brought to the community’s youth through Grand Master Church’s traditional approach to teaching the martial arts. Character traits such as courtesy, integrity, perseverance, and self-control are continually stressed and reinforced to help build strong youth both emotionally and physically.

Grand Master Church mentors youth with all varieties of life challenges whether developmental or social. His positive reinforcement and traditional approach to teaching using repetition, persistence, and the pursuit of excellence helps take children who may be struggling, either socially or academically, and sets them on a path to success. Teachers, principals, and therapists are continually referring children with ADHD, ADD, Asperger’s syndrome, Autism as well as birth defects caused by drug and alcohol abusing parents. These children thrive in Grand Master Church’s program because of its highly structured format.

One of Grand Master Church’s favorite sayings is “There is no such thing as a bad child. Our children are not at risk, they are at promise. We as life coaches and mentors just have to help them see their dream.” With this vision, Grand Master Church’s methods extend beyond his direct contact by engaging his students primary life coaches (parents, teachers, mentors etc.) forming a team to empower his students in all areas of life.
